Short version: only what the site needs to work and stay safe, and analytics only if you say yes.

Essential

These do not need your consent, because the site cannot work properly or safely without them. None of them is used for advertising.

Your cookie choice (cd-cookie-choice, stored in your browser): records whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we don’t ask on every page. Kept until you clear it.
Your theme choice (cd-theme, stored in your browser): set only if you use the light and dark switch at the top of the page, so the site stays the way you chose it. Kept until you clear it.
Form security (session): a short-lived session cookie, set only if you use the contact form. It carries a security token proving the form came from this site and not from someone else’s. It is removed when you close your browser.
Cloudflare security (__cf_bm, and cf_clearance if you are shown a security check): set by Cloudflare, which protects this site, to tell people from bots. __cf_bm lasts thirty minutes; cf_clearance lasts for the period set in our Cloudflare configuration, usually a few hours.

Analytics

If you accept, we load privacy-respecting analytics to see which pages people read. It does not follow you around the internet and it is not used for advertising. If you decline, no analytics code loads at all — it is not merely switched off, it is never requested.

Changing your mind

You can change your choice at any time, as easily as you made it: use Cookie settings at the foot of any page, or the button below.

What we don't do

No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no social media pixels. Our fonts are served from our own servers, so no request goes to Google when you load a page.
